Reframing Education.

In the 21st Century, education isn't just about education anymore, it is broadly and merely used as a currency to accomplish several objectives. Some powers use it to promote their language and culture abroad and therefore expand their influence and soft power. Society broadly uses it as a mean to … get a job in today's complicated market. But what if there was something more noble behind such a profoundly embedded notion in our lives.

I, as the YMG Founder, have been deeply interacting with this "broken" educational system for years, a system used as a tool to attain objectives far from the universal notion of truly educating one another. Although, yes, education is still today a means of social, intellectual and personal elevation, the actual systems don't truly exploit the virtues of the illimited potential education has to offer as a universal concept.

Education as a Universal Fluid

To deeply understand the YMG perspective about education, view education as a word, a notion, a universal fluid moving between every aspect of life, far from rigid school systems designed to standardise thought processes and limit our own unique creativity. One thing education must never be is rigid, it is rather best to see it as fluid.

A fluid with the purpose of always accompanying humans throughout their whole lives, from birth until reaching an older age.

Reframing education, doesn't mean to change what education is, but how it is defined, used and performed in today's century, because education at its core is still, to this day, a source of shared knowledge, lessons and other critical and meaningful aspects necessary the the growth of us, as universal beings. Rather reframing it means to bring it to levels yet never seen before, to take it to new heights, where its rigidity is stripped of and replaced with true fluidity, designed to adapt to each one of us and bring us that forever source of light to help us navigate the world and ourselves in a more and more needed context of today's world.

Breaking Free from Standardization

Each one of us is different, in cultures, stories, problems, personalities, abilities and how and who we are as persons. Based on that statement, we find it pretty discriminatory, in a way, to standardize who we are, by teaching us all the same things, in the same ways, and in the end to attain the same generic and general goals.

We believe this sentence can be used as a solid base to how education should be reframed. Picture an invisible source, always present and moving, a source nurturing us with knowledge, confidence, perspectives, inspiration, guidance, encouragement and all that humanity needs as a positive source: Education is the best candidate to be that such needed source.

No more closed theories, making you feel completely disconnected with the true strength of education: to assemble civilisations and spark curiosity in one's mind. Constant fluidity, spanned across multimodal supports and present in every aspect of someone's life, making you addicted to exploring the true core of such a beautiful notion (we warn you will be addicted just like you are with your phones right now).

Exploring new ways education can be integrated in our everyday lives, without even for a single instant feeling like labour or tasks we are forced to accomplish, but rather a natural process towards which we are drawn to and to which we will always want to return to.

A Multidimensional Vision

A strong notion of education, assembling civilisations, leveling us up as individuals, changing the world and creating better futures. A notion present in every single possible field, interacting with us and instead of standardizing us and limiting ourselves, it rather does the opposite by allowing us to truly bloom into the very unique and different individuals that each one of us is.

A new reframing means to break free from the sole focus on traditional fields, such as school subjects (mathematics, physics, geopolitics, literature, engineering, etc.) and rather replace them in a much larger context, alongside sports, speaking skills, life advices and really any other field contributing to a positive source to humans. This larger, unified and connected environment will make everyone feel the real joys of exploring education as it is supposed to be and will never make anyone feel bored, disconnected, forgotten, frustrated or meaningless towards such a notion.

Beyond Traditional Boundaries

Education isn't only in schools, buildings or classes, grades don't define who you are and most importantly education isn't only here to allow you to get a good job and once that objective is accomplished, forget about it.

No, it is a multidimensional, multimodal and fluid environment present everywhere and every time in our everyday lives, with which we will never truly want to finish interacting. Education will become the new biggest source of positive entertainment in society, as it is integrated in our everyday lives in similar ways to everything that is appealing, satisfying and entertaining to interact with in this century.

The Path Forward

Big and bold movements have to be made to tackle such a deep yet important reframing, education must break free from traditional and rigid vision, making students hate to go school and learn new things. The biggest failure to this day is that humans have transformed the greatest gift a person can have: to learn, into a widely despised notion by so many younger people. The need to reframe education and level it to new heights, appears to be a crucial aspect in today's world, as an education of new and better quality, means better people, better societies and much importantly a better tomorrow.

YMG is deeply engaged on the path of accomplishing such a deep, meaningful and important change, as we will always make the right movements and decisions necessary to cast light over everyone and act as a true force of good in a world which sometimes deeply needs it. This implies the cooperation of everyone including you, which is why everyone has the opportunity to contribute, even modestly, to building a better tomorrow, by acting now.
